The weight pocket system is awful on 1st dive using bc had a weight pocket fall out. On second dive of the trip I pulled rear dump valve and had it come off in my hand. Poorly made bc would not recommend it.

I have this BCD for a while now and so far I am very happy with it. It is really light and its great for travel. I have used it for about 10 dives and it has performed flawlessly. The only reason I gave it 4 flags/stars is the fact I don't trust the velcro on the weight pockets very much, but until now, they have never accidentally opened with me (I use about 8 to 10 pounds), so no complains about this so far. It is also very comfortable and offers a great back support.

I purchased this BCD and on the first 4 dives I did with it it was awesome. I did a couple drift and wreck dives in Hawaii and the BCD was easy to adjust, comfortable to wear and the weight system was easy to load.

Then I got to Dive 5. I dive with 12lbs of weight in Hawaii which means about 6 pounds per weight pouch, and each pouch is supposed to be able to hold 10 pounds. Unfortunately during a deep drift dive with a negative bouyancy entry I noticed I was struggling to get to the bottom, and couldn't figure out why until my dive buddy handed me my weight pouch. So I reinstalled it and continued the dive, and thought maybe I had not secured the velcro tightly enough. So on the surface I reseated the pouch and triple check to make sure the velcro was secure, then had my buddy check as well. Everything seemed fine, until we got to the next drift site. Entered the water negatively bouyant again, started swimming down and I see the weight pocket shoot straight to the bottom. Got down retrieved it re installed it and continued the dive. Halfway through the dive the weight pouch fell out again, and this was a calm drift dive.

Overall I am not impressed with the velcro that secures the weight pouches into the BCD, so I plan to return it and purchase a different model. Not only is the weight dropping out annoying it could potentially be dangerous. Both dives I did were over 70 feet and required a safety stop, which would have been difficult missing half my weights.

As well as being a weekend warrior instructor, I also travel the world for work, so I am constantly looking for ways to reduce the weight of my gear. I have tried several travel BCD's in the past but they all seemed to compromise on one feature or another. Not so the Tusa Voyager. Even with integrated weights (admittedly only 2lbs in each) there was plenty of room for spare mask, reel and torch, as well as an SMB clipped to 2 of the 9 D rings.

Fits like a glove, fantastic back support, and tank is held solid as a rock, because of the double straps and what I would describe as an integrated STA (although of course this BCD is only for single tank usage). I am short (1.67m or 5'7") and my head was not rubbing up against first stage and nor were my legs were kicking against bottom of tank.

Bought the Tusa active purge assist for the fun of it. Finger tip control from the first moment when started to descend, great fun. Could I live without it? Yes. Would I want to live without it from now on? No. And there is also a release on lower right side for when you are bum up on a reef or in a wreck.

And the surface position in the water is high and comfortable, and also stable when lying on your back when waiting for pick up.

Absolutely recommended for any traveller or warm water recreational diver.
