Questions about this item:
Shopper Rod M
I have a size 12 4E foot (shouldnt need a fin). What size should I look at in these?
RICK T I had to order one size smaller than what I normally wear. These fins run a tad big.
Frank L You may find that the XL's will be too snug for you because of the width. They are made for a medium width. You might need to go with an open heel fin and booties.
M M I also have a 9 1/2 EE foot with a high instep . It would appear from the size chart that I fall between the ML and the L. I would prefer NOT to incorrectly order. Can you make a recommendation ? Thanks in advance for your assistance.
DAVID V I wear a size 9. I thought when I bought a size L that these might be a little big so I also bouight a pair of inexpensive lightweight neoprene socks (not booties) to fill in the slack if necessary. As I recall, I atually wore a pair of regular socks and the footies or neoprene socks over them to be a better fit. This worked fine. The fins themselves are fine but I did not really notice any discernable improvement over my Dacor fins, which I switched back and forth.
With the weight restriction on luggage being what it is the last couple of trips to Cozumel I opted for just taking my Dacors. When I move to Cozumel next year, I look forwarded to further use of the Tusas.
I just had an idea -- I should have used one of each on a couple of dives to see if I could detect a difference.
HERNAN P ML, i wear a 9 and its perfect. you dont want these to be loose
M M You: I also have a similar foot size. It would appear from the size chart that I fall between the ML and the L. I would prefer NOT to incorrectly order. Can you double check ? Thanks in advance for your assitance.
BURTON O Sorry,
I can't be of much help. My wife wears the ML - she's a size 8.5-9 in womens and they fit her pretty good - maybe a hair too large but it was the closest size (plus, she wears socks so the fit is just right).
I bought XL and they are true to size - I wear a men's 12. They're great fins though.
GEORGE L Sorry can't help you. I have a very narrow 10.5 foot and I have no problem with the Large. Son is the same except with an 11.5 and it works for both of us.
MARC F IT's been a long time ago I can not remember if I order a ML or a Large. the fins are back home in another country right now.
Shopper what are the the weights for the large and XL sizes?
CHRIS G I'm not sure what the exact weight is. These were bought for my wife as her first pair. She had no issues with them after five dives. She says they were very comfortable. Worked well
JOHN M W The TUSAs are a very good entry-level split fin and will guarantee that you'll never buy another conventional-bladed fin. The propeller-blade concept works and you will know the difference. I have since upgraded to the Oceanic V6, but can see that change as one of degree while the switch to split-blade is a change in type and far more dramatic.
ANTHONY S I don't know the weights and they are stored in the basement for the winter. The weight has never entered my mind.
I can tell you however, that they are very effective in the water and are light enough to pack for travel to warm climes, as I do several times a year.
(Stuff them with sock and dive gloves to prevent crushing).
Shopper Hello... are these rubber fins...?
NANCY ROSE E Bought them for my husband - light color is hard plastic, dark is rubber. His quote: "they are fabulous, great maneuverability, the best I've ever had and very reasonable in price"
VLADIMIR L The fins have rubber boot and ribs (black-colored parts) with flexible plastic inserts.
ALEX K Rubber footcups...the fin itself is a combination of plastics, each of varying stiffness.
BRADLEY M The boot area surrounding your feet are rubber, and the flat pushing surface is rubber with harder plastic inserts for rigidity. They are nice fins, built more for comfort than for speed...
JAMES C The foot is rubber and the blade is plastic. They
are very light and comfortable. Great travel fin if you are doing boat dives. If you are diving off the beach you will need booties and open heel fins.
cristobal r How long are these fins? What size should I order for a size 10 -- 11 shoe?
GERARD V Bought them for both the wife and I......I wear a 12 and bought xl...they were fine....I would think large, but might be snug, don't forget, they loosen a bit in the water.....I believe they are about 22 inches long......
JAMES C These fins are 26 inches long in total length with a blade of 16 inches. I where a 101/2 shoe and the size large fits me perfectly. A mixture of plastic and rubber makes them very light weight, perfect for travel fins.
JILL F For a mens size 10, order the large that fits size 10 - 11.
These fins are very long, but work so well in the water. Very little effort
sends you a long way with the extra length. Have held up very well, too.
Zach W My brother and I wear size 11-12 in shoes, so i'm thinking Large would be the right size for us. My Dad is is 13-14 though, should I go with the XL?
Zach W Thanks! I ordered the L and the XL. I'm sure the XL will fit my Dad and if they fit me better I saw that leisurepro has a very good exchange policy, so I will send the L back for the XL. I had ordered Oceanic V-Flex from another company because for some reason I was skeptical about the split fins. After I read so many reviews raving about how great they are and that people could swim faster with alot less effort and without getting tired or cramping, I decided to just go with them and hope everyone was right!
BURTON O Zach,
I wear a 11.5-12 shoe and I bought the XL and its perfect. Terrific fins - I've had them for 100+ dives and they're the best.
Shopper I wear a women's 6.5 to 7, should i get the xsmall or small?
CATHERINE D I am a 9.5 women's and have size ML (8-9) and they fit well with a little room to spare.
Shopper How does sizing work? I have an 11.5 us mens foot?
JOSEPH M If you don't wear wide size shoes a size Large will fit size 11-12 nice fins to snorkle with you will like them
MARTIN D I followed the recommendations on their site. Go to the size chart on the page for the fins.
Amy M Trying to decide on these or the Tusa Full Foot Split Fins X-Pert Evolution (FF-19) . I love split fins as they are great with kneee injuries and would like full foot pair for warm water diving and can't tell much of a difference between these two. Woud you recommend one pair over the other and why?
MATTHEW B I love these xpert zoom fins. They are easy to pack and function wonderfully. That being said I'm on my 3rd pair because they have a tendency to split at the heel after some number of dives. Ffor the price and my satisfaction with the fins otherwise I continue to buy them as needed. I have some big scubapro fins that you have to wear boots with etc but I never wear them anymore -- I like these better for about 1/4 the price, even though I have to buy new ones every now and then.
SUSAN C I have the Split Fins and absolutely love them! I just moments ago got off of a dive boat in Turks and Caicos where the dive master also had these same fins and we were comparing notes. She also loves them !
Mine are 3 years old and like new. A great value and great fit. Good luck and happy diving.
Susan C
Amy M Which split fins do you have? I have the open heel atomics and love them but am looking for a full foot.
SUSAN C Full Foot! You have found your fins!
GEORGE L While this doesn't answer your actual question.
I have both the FF-9 and the Atomic Aquatics "Full Foot" Split Fins, I like the Atomic Aquatics better.
I also have the Atomic Aquatics Split Fins in the open heel model and they are much stiffer than the Full Foot. I prefer the Full Foot, and they are really fast.
Amy M So you prefer the atomic over the tusa? My open heel splits are the same as yours and I love them just would prefer full foot for the warmer waters.
GEORGE L Yes the Atomic seems to be faster. I must say I have used the Atomics more than the Tusas and never back to back. I bought the Tusas to be used by a friend of my son on a vacation and I used them once. They are decent.
But not at the level I remembered the Atomics to be.
But I bough the Atomic's for my son and he and I liked them so much I bought the open heel. The full foots are faster and MUCH easier on your legs in the water.
George
Shopper I wear a men's size 8, what size would you suggest?
LeisurePro S I would recommend a medium/large.
Shopper What size for a size 9 men's shoe?
LeisurePro S I would recommend the medium large.
Shopper I wear a 9.5 shoe, but have a high instep and wide foot. What size should I order?
M M I also have a similar foot size. It would appear from the size chart that I fall between the ML and the L. I would prefer NOT to incorrectly order. Can you double check ? Thanks in advance for your assitance.
LeisurePro S I would still go with the ML, fins don't really come in wide or anything for high instep either. They are stretchy and tend to run a little large so the ML should work fine.
Shopper How long are these fins? What size should I order for a size 12 shoe?
LeisurePro S I would recommend the large. Are approx. 23 inches in length.
Shopper My husband wears a 10.5-11 size shoe. What size would you recommend?
LeisurePro S I would recommend the large.
Shopper I wear a 9.5 shoe. What size fin would I need?
LeisurePro S I would recommend the medium/large if you'll be wearing them with boots, the medium if barefooted.
Shopper Female size 8 what size should I order. Please advise..
LeisurePro S Small should work well.
Shopper I wear a size 9 shoe. Should I order a medium? A friend told me they come in medium and meduim large. Are there two different sizes M & ML? I weigh between 175- 180 lbs.
LeisurePro S Based on the TUSA size chart a medium large would be appropriate.

Split fins have become the most popular style fin in diving today. Just look around when you are out beach diving or on the charter boat and you will soon discover that more divers are making the switch to this style fin. Why are they so popular? They are popular because they work, and you, work less! A split fin performs more like the combination of a whale's tail and a propeller. When you kick the two separate blades twist and create more of a propeller surface which will increase your propulsion and lift... more
