Shopper Hello. I bought this item and have removed the yoke on my first stage. I cannot for the life of me figure out how to attach this to it to my Magnum first stage. After the yoke is removed there is a small female hole in the first stage, but on the part that would attach this converter to the first stage there is a large nut. Any suggestions? Thank you all very kindly.
EDWARD N You must remove the large nut and that will let you remove the yoke and then you screw the Din Adapter on in it's place.

SHANE T I own one of these. As far as I know it's only for the bleed valve style 1st stage only. It does not fit the SR1 or the GR450 currently being sold with sherwood until they fix the SR1 problem.
It's easy just take off the nut counter clockwise that holds on the yoke. When that's off just thread on the Din conversion and lightly torque it on.
Miyuki S From Sherwood Scuba: Any authorized dealer with an in-house technician will be able to help with your request. Service technicians are the only ones authorized by Sherwood Scuba to perform those kinds of installations. Removing and replacing Yoke to DIN is a task that requires specialized tools.

BRIAN A Remove the nut that attaches the yoke on and the din will screw right on to the first stage.
DANIEL C Additional info: The 1st stage body is machined as one piece with the threaded outlet where the yoke or the din adapter goes. You can wrap the 1st stage body with tape to keep it from being scratched, then clamp it gently in a vice with the yoke on top. If you use a very large crescent wrench you will turn the yoke so that the wrench slides past the edge of the yoke to get on the large retainer nut, so a deeper wrench is preferred here. I do mine with a box wrench with the sides ground thin to go from inside the yoke, but the crescent wrench is easy to buy.
DANIEL C I can't answer without knowing brand/model of your first stage. This is for Sherwood 300Bar rated first stages - mine is a Maximus. A wrench (1 inch as I recall) removes the big swivel nut which retains the Yoke. Once the yoke is off, there will be a fine threaded shoulder where the end shown with the hex nut here is screwed onto the first stage - make sure there is a small O-ring in that end beforehand. A larger O-ring goes in the end that mates to the tank. DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN.
LUIS R First, you need to loose the big nut that is holding the yoke to the first stage. When you take out the yoke simply put the conversion kit where the nut was.

PETER F then end of the yoke that attaches to the first stage has a thin hexagonal head just below the widest end of the yoke. you'll need large 10 or 12 in crescent wrench to get the yoke bracket off. i placed the 1st stage in a vice, yoke up with the connect exposed then it still took quite a bit of force. i really thought i was breaking it. in the end it probably would have been easier to have my shop help me and direct me through it or do it for no cost. when you put the din converter in, it tightens via allen wrench in the hole with the o-ring.

All my sherwood regs terminate with a male fitting on which this adaptor fits.
I'd say you've got a 98% chance this will work on your magnum.
and < 2% chance you'll have to send it back to LP.

PETER F standard DIN o-rings. there is an internal one that goes inside the 1st stage, then an external one at the top (top of the item as pictured) which goes into the threading on the tank valve.

JOHN M Just one. You would remove the yoke and the yoke nut and the Din Donversion kit will screw onto the 1st stage. Do no locktight it like they recommend. You will never get it off again if so. I've done many tech dives with these regs and they work great. Dive Safe.
JEREMY S You only need to buy one to attach to your 1st stage on your regulator. It's fairly simple to do yourself but if you haven't done it take it to your local dive shop and have them do it the first time.

ARLENE S The Sherwood 300 Bar Din Conversion Kit is used to attach a Sherwood INT regulator to a DIN tank. So you need one conversion kit per tank. I hope this answers your question.

JONATHAN S Just one...it screws onto your first stage and once you torque it down it becomes soley din...I say this since it's a pain to keep switching...what I did to make it quick was I also purchased a yoke adapter so when I had to use a yoke it only took a few seconds to screw on over the din
GARY T This replaces the yoke on your current regulator, so you only need to buy one.
Once installed, you can only attach it to DIN tanks, unless you purchase a screw-on yoke adapter, which gives you the ability to switch easily between attaching your regulator to either the DIN or yoke style tank valves.
I use this system, and I like the flexibility it gives.
