Todd B Does this have one or two tank straps? Is the inflator hose a problem like some of the reviews said? Is it easy to get used to? Going to Belize and may not get to try it before trip.
Michael C The Axis has 1 cam band tank strap. Inflator hose should not be a problem. Back inflate BCDs have a very natural and trim style of swimming. Everything works exactly the same so it shouldn't be difficult to to get used to.
Shopper I am 6'1/2", 180lbs, 32" waist, Male. What size should I buy?
TYSON F Large.. I am 6ft 180 and had a medium... it was a little small... I grabbed the Scubapro Seahawk Medium and that fits better... also has a larger lift and better pockets.. my sherwood zipper broke just by putting in a small flashlight.
PETER H I purchased the Sherwood Axis BCD in April of 2008. It served me well on a three year voyage across the North Pacific and into the South China Sea. Over 100 dives, the only malfuntion, was a zipper on the extendable pocket. Worked fine open. Given your size I would recommend a Large. I am 5'10, 195 lbs., 34" waist.
Doing so many dives, I did add a Spare-Air 3000 3.0, attaches to the upper and lower D-Rings, brought me peace of mind knowing I had a backup. All dives were 90' +
JOSE M I'm 5'10", 160lbs, 30" waist. Male and purchased a mediam. Prefer a tighter fit, as I have had BCD's that "floated" and were uncomfortable. The sales staff at Leisure can guide you better. They are more knowlegable and can fit you with the proper equipment depending on your location and the type of dive you are looking to do.
I live in SW Florida and this was a great find. Very satisfied.

Shopper On the X-large BCD, how much weight can each of the weight pockets hold?
LeisurePro S Each main pocket on the Axis can hold 10 pounds and each trim pocket can hold 5 pounds. Grand total of 30 pounds.
Shopper Can this BCD support a pony bottle?
LeisurePro S Yes, there are several options for attaching your pony tank--you can attach it to your tank strap/tank via a special bracket or you could also use a "sling" setup where you attach a sling that holds the pont bottle to a d-ring on your BCD. Either setup is possible with the Axis.
Shopper What's the lift capacity in Medium?
Shopper Does the Axis have a shoulder dump valve?
LeisurePro S Yes, the Axis has a right shoulder pull dump valve as well as a rear lower right dump.
Shopper Does this BCD have the rear Trim Weight pockets?
Shopper Does it include a pair of CQR2 weight pocket (SWDMGWP10) ? Or, do I have to purchase them separately ?
LeisurePro S The pockets come included.

LeisurePro S The Axis comes with a single tank band.
Shopper how much dose the weight pockets hold?
LeisurePro S Depending on the size BCD you order, it can hold anywhere from 16-20 pounds.
Shopper How are the weight pockets held in place?
LeisurePro S There is a small tension clip on the inside of the poclet that holds the weights in place. A small tug on the big plastic handles releases the weight pouches.
Shopper I am looking to buy this for my wife. Is this Bcd compatible for women as well as for men? Thanks.
LeisurePro S This will work fine for a women, just maybe in a smaller size than usual. Here is a sizing chart to help you pick the proper size for her.
