I use this BCD for scientific and recreational diving. I often have to carry a slate, goodie bags full of equipment, and a flashlight/collecting jars, so it's great having the pockets. They can fit a good amount of gear, even when the BCD is inflated and I have the integrated weights in place.

The SureLock weights are a both a pro and a con - I love having integrated weights because of the convenience and comfort. However, the pockets on this BCD work best with hard weights and are relatively small. The SureLock mechanism also has to click solidly in place or else they slide right out - there's no buckle or velcro to keep them in place, meaning that a poorly-clipped weight pouch can ruin your dive and cost you half your weight system (this happened to me on a boat dive... very sad, especially since the non-plastic SureLock pouches are a little large for this model). It can also be difficult to clip the weights back in place for a second or third dive if you don't have a lot of space - I generally have to place the tank/bcd on its side and shake it around for a half a minute before it clicks, and this can be difficult on a boat.

Now, I use this BCD for scientific diving and often boat dive at multiple sites on the same tank, so I take my weights in and out more than usual. Overall, the BCD is comfortable and well-made. It's a great, relatively inexpensive BCD and works well even when carrying gear. Especially if you know you don't need a lot of buckles on the BCD, then this is a great choice!

this is the first BCD I've bought, really like the intergrated weight system, makes a huge difference

Used in cold water and warm water...holds up real well and is very functional. Has many different ways to adjust to your body type. Large front pockets for storing all types of goodies.

I almost picked up a package which included this BCD. I'm a pretty skinny guy, and after trying on several other jackets, this one was fairly uncomfortable as compared to the rest. The medium was too loose, and the small was way too small to the point of the chest strap riding into my neck/collar bone, even with various strap adjustments. Definitely try this BCD on before you buy it. It may not be for you.

Other than the fit, it's made from quality material. The weight lock is secure, and the pockets are nice and big without being overly cumbersome.
