Shopper I have the Suunto Zoop/pressure gauge console, but my pressure gauge needs to be replaced. Can I just detach the computer portion from my old one and place it directly onto the top of this one?

KENT D Plastic. Definitely.
VICTOR Z the face of the gauge is plastic, i've been using the gauge quite frequently for 3 years and the integrity is intact. I haven't seen any modern gauges with the actual glass face.
MARK L The gauge face is plastic. It is recessed about 1/8 inch within the gauge rim and boot. My wife has used it for almost 100 dives and there is not a scratch on it.

DANIEL E Yes , It works equally well with air and nitrox. I use the gauge for a backup and it is very readable and accurate. I'm an older diver {since 1967,532 dives} and I mostly use nitrox. I did change the O ring to viton.
DUSTIN S I have used this gauge with air blends from 21 - 36% oxygen with no issues.
DENNIS O Yes this gauge is fine for air or nitrox. Modern scuba equipment is generally all suitable for switching between the two, except for those made of titanium.
BRIAN M As long as it's O2 clean you can use it with any kind of gas(es).

CARMELA M Of course it is. All modern day 1st stage regulators have standard HP/LP port fittings, which are compatible with any modern day SPG hose. So yes, you can mate your ScubaPro MK17 with the Suunto SPG.

WITOLD B I used it with Oceanic FDX-10, but it should be fine with MK17 or any first stage using standard HP (High Pressure) port.

Shopper I need a pressure gauge/compass combination. Will one of the Suunto SK 7 compasses (SQTSK7B or SQTCBCC) mount on the back or end of this PG's boot?

LeisurePro S My guess is that neither of the compasses will attach easily to the back of this gauge without some homemade modifications. But here is a combo pressure gauge/compass for you to check out.

The extremely compact Suunto tank pressure gauge incorporates a safety-pin-type tube and a gear mechanism, which provide outstanding accuracy and durability. The clear and bright phosphorescent dial face provides excellent readability, also in demanding conditions. The Suunto pressure includes a HP hose, or it can be fitted in the Suunto Combo consoles. The Suunto pressure gauge is suitable for 4000 psi tanks (5000 psi max display).
