THOMAS K Although knives are considered "tools"...no, I would not recommend this as a blunt force instrument.
JEREMY B It does have a protruding metal pomel but its very flat. If you want it to tap on your tank for sound it would work. To actually strike and move an object not so much so.
This knife is made of very soft stainless 303 i think. Mine bent 90degrees when i was using it to control a shark i speared . A 440 stainless knife is now what i use. Swedish but worse product than my20 dollar chi-com replacement.
