THOMAS K I cut the tag out so I don't know exactly what the brief liner material is, but it's a soft, comfortable and pretty tightly woven mesh.
For water sports, mesh is important to let water and air flow freely, unless you like the pants and pocket balloon effect when you enter the water and the slower drain when you exit.
