Jane H 1) Will these attach to a pair of Oceanic Vortex V12 splits?
2) My Oceanics are xsmall so I'm guessing I need the 10 inch strap? My feet are tiny, I wear a womens size 5 dress shoe and my trident boots are labelled 3/4/36.
STEVE B I am honestly not familiar with the design of the Oceanic Vortx fins. I know that with the Atomic fins, you have to modify them by cutting off the knob on the fins that the clip attaches to the fins with. Once you cut that off, you then have to drill two holes on each side of the fin for the mounting portion. I think that there are "universal" fin string straps that might be a better option for you.

EUN L I actually owned a pair of Vortex V12's for my first fins, they're tough a nails, and heavy as expected. I swapped out for the apollo's without the spring strap, then later upgraded to c-straps.
I was on the low end of the med. Strap size range, but it fit well. So to answer your question, sizing isn't a huge concern since you can drill the holes further or closer a needed. As long as you're within your size range, it should work.
You'll need to remove your manual straps,
Cut off nubs on your fins,
Measure spacing before drilling holes for new straps,
Space the holes so that there's about 3/4in of stretch in the spring when it's around your ankle.
Drill holes, fasten springs to fins- recommend loc-tite on screws.

STEPHEN N I don't know specifically for the Oceanic Vortex, but as long as your mounting area is free of obstructions it should work. The strap mounting blocks are about 1 1/8 wide by 1 5/8 long. You make two holes for the mount. Inside there is a steel plate flush with the foot pocket area that has two cylindrical protrutions that are the "nuts" for the machine screws of the outside mounting. Both the inside and outside surfaces of the attachment area need to be free of any impediment to making the two holes and fitting the mounting block flush to the fin body. You will want small straps. CHARLES T These will attache to any fin, you actually remove the existing attaching knob form the fin and drill and attach these. you will need a drill and screwdrive to attach to your fins. They are very springy so the smallest length is your best bet.
