Sylvain F Hi ! i want to know if it s good for kick frog ?
RICKIE T I don't know what a kick frog is. I do know that my wife has used this fin on vacation for the last four years in the Caribbean and has never complained and we spend hours snorkeling. They are more comfortable than my Tusa's. I would like to have the same.
DARREN H Yes. I used my fins in a cenote in which u have to kick frog and they worked great for me. These are the best fins that i have yst purchased
MATTHEW C I've used these fins for 5 years now, I'm yet to find a technique they aren't good at. So to answer your question, yes, they are.
BRIAN M They were great fins but not the best for frog kicking. I don't think split fins are the way to go for that
STEVE H I've been using them for frog kicking for quite a while. They probably aren't quite as good as a non split fin but the difference is minimal. I really like twin jet max! They are very superior in the classic kick.

ERNST V They are a little rigid for my liking. I prefer the older single color model, they are neon yellow but they frog (any) kick real nice. Very little effort with the older model, more effort with the new ones.

But the XL (11-13) fin's foot pocket is too big, although my foot is size 13.5. Shall I get the L size fin or even more bigger boots? Thanks. To Daniel S: The open heel fins with boots would be more versatile even in tropical waters. There are hidden beaches and water falls some with rocks and it would be easier to dismount from the fin and walk around with the boots.
Rishi J I exchanged the XL for the L and it fits! Its not too slack anymore, yay. Well I wear size 13.5 shoe, but the scubapro delta 5mm tropical boot size 2XL (12) fits. I have the fins with the spring straps from scubapro. Since I am not in the US it cost more in shipping and duties than the cost of the actual fin!
PETE S Rishi, I'm pete and have dove with this fin for along time. It is the best and most all around fin you can dive, in my opinion. If I were you I would find a bigger bootie to fit your fins. I have a size 13 foot and my booties work just fine. I do wear a heavier bootie for I do alot of cold water diveing as well as carribian. Booties are always a plus no matter where you are diveing. HAROLD O I wear size 13 shoe so when I buy scuba boots, I buy a size 12 so it does not slop around when wet. The fins however should be your size - 13. Hope this helps.

DEREK J D Tough call, I'm not sure if thicker boots would do the trick. I have size 11 feet and have a L size fin with 7mm boots and have to tighten the fins quite a bit to get them snug.

DANIEL S I would guess 3 mm, the more critical measurement is the sole thickness on the bottom of the boot. For some boots its an inch thick! I wear an 11 normal width shoe and use a size medium fin with 6.5 mm booties and this provides a good fit for me.
Your gear choice is a little odd. Tropical divers typically buy the closed heel fins. Northern cold water divers need boots for insulation and go with the open heel fins for flexibility with different boots.
3mm should povide enough abrasion protection within the fin's foot pocket and neoprene durability.
RICHARD F My wife and I bth have wide feet and wear ScubaPro short boots (below the ankle) I want to say they are 3 ml. The have a good bottom for coral/rock entries. The most imporant thing I tell my students is comfort.
MARK E I love the fins. The quality of construction is terrific. I only use these fins when I dive in warm water as well . I use 5mm boots with a firm sole and the fit with the pocket is good. If you get just booties that are slimmer, I think they fins might be loose in the pocket. Whether you get 3mm or 5mm, the heavier type boots with a sturdy sole would fit better. Hope this helps.
DAVID P I have had these for about 3-4 years. The foot pocket is pretty generous so any booties you want to use should fit well. In warm waters, unless you are sensitive to cold, 3 mm booties should be warm enough, and certainly no more than 5. If you have wide foot, probably 3 mm will be good. You can easily tighten the strap to adjust the fit in these and they are easy to readjust in the water. I have EE feet also and use 3 mm. Most of my diving is in the Caribbean.
ROBERT M P For tropical waters I use a ankle high 3mm boot with a soft sole. Works just fine.
STEVEN S 3mm seems to work the best.
Shopper How long are the fins in small I want to make sure they will fit in my dive bag?
MICHAEL S I'm not sure of the length of the small size. If the dimensions are not on the manufactures web site you could write them an email. I do like them though
DAVID L My fins are about the same size as my Mares. Unless you have a very small dive bag they will fit...any standard size dive bag no problem.
BTW, I have the titanium ones which are slightly bouyant. As a spearfisher who spends 80% time "upside" down in the water, the work great. I have no issues swimming straight and level as well :-)

RICKIE T Sorry but the fins are packed away in a storage building not to see daylight until summer. They are about average size SCUBA fins.

CRAIG M I wear a size 13 shoe and 13 boot. I got the X-Large and there is plenty of room. I believe I could use a large with no problem, so you might want to go for a medium.

JOHN Y While the fins function just fine for me, I do wish that I would have purchased a size smaller than I did. If you have any doubts about the size, I would sugest that you order the smaller size. These are great fins though they do weigh a little more than I would like. They are totally bouyant in the water so it is only an issue for travel. Hope this helps.

STEVEN G I wear a 9 shoe and a 10 boot. I bought the large and I don't have any trouble. I also have a pair of the original jet fins and they are my favorite. My wife wears an 8 1/2 womens and she has the medium. I have tried to dive with them but I work my butt off trying to get somewhere(more strokes for the same distance). Excellent fins btw. Hope this helps.

I suggest you go with the large size, and also spend the extra money to replace the standard straps with the spring-type straps. They are much easier to use, and if the large fin is a little too big, the spring straps will hold your heel much more securely than standard straps.

PAUL R This is not an easy question, since it also depends on the width of your foot.
This is what I would do:
1. Visit the store in NYC if you can and try it, or
2. Purchase the large size since you can adjust the back of the fins and make them tighter.

GARY T It would be a large. It would be best to go to a store and try one on. One issue with this fins you may not be aware of is that these fins are negatively bouant.

DAVID P tough to answer but I have a set of these in large and they fit a little big so I suggest you go with the smaller size unless you have thick booties. My shoe size is 10 1/2 and very wide.

Shopper I have never had open heel fins before. How they should fit?
LeisurePro S The back of the fin should fall between the back of the heel and the arch of the foot. A little overhang is nothing to worry about. Your foot should fit comfortably in the pocket, but shouldn't have a lot of room to wiggle around. When you put on the fin, it should feel like an extension of your foot. Shake your foot around and if the fin doesn't shift, you're good to go!
