Questions about this item:
Shopper Will this fit an IST Alpha 1000 BC?
TIMOTHY M It will fit almost any Bc on the market
Shopper I have a cressi Air Travel BCD I am looking for a compatible Air 2 Octo?
ROBERT B This isn't an octo, it replaces your current Cressi power inflator. This will work fine, just replace the hose to your first stage with the one that comes with it.
Air2's are fantastic.
Kurt R Will the Air2 work with an Aqualung Zuma?
ROBERT B It works with all bc's
ROBERT B It works with all bc's
MARCUS L My corrugated hose is a Zeagle. Will this fit?
Frank L Yes, it will fit on a Zeagle.
J F D yes. I use with zeagle.
BEN K Hi,
I had a Zeagle for years before switching to a diverite and used the Air2 with no problems. I've used the air2 for shallow dives and deep dives with out fail. This in combination with an air integrated computer really streamlined my dive rig.
Hope this helps!
ROBERT B Typically the flex hose to your bc is a standard diameter. I have put the air2 on several bc's. Including scuba pro, OMS, dacor, and some others. Never a zeagle but I am pretty sure they are all the same. You will need to pull the roll pin out of the air2 and attach your cable for the dump valve then Get two zip ties and put it on and get in the water! I
JASON B Mine is a Zeagle as well. It fits.
Thomas H I will use it with a first stage poseidon cyclon 5000, will it work? Until witch middle pressure the air 2 will work, the cyclon deliver about 11,5 bar.
FABIO E Scuba pro regulators are 10 bar. The orifice is adjustable with a hex wrench with out disassembly .
You may need to adjust it.
Joel M Isn't the hose (27") a bit short in case an emergency situation arises, and a second diver has to breath with it? Is it shorter then the standard octopus hoses in use? Thanks
PAUL M Wile using an Air 2, during air sharing with your dive buddy. You pass your primary 1st stage regulator to your buddy, and you use the Air 2 to breath from. Remember you have to control you buoyancy on the ascent, it works well when it's right in front of your face.
D DUANE M When using an Air 2 configuration you give your primary to the other diver and you use the Air 2.
J F D good question. The 27 hose is ok.
In the emergency when your buddy is out of air, YOU breath from your air 2 and give your primary to your out-of-air buddy. You need to face each other and "shake right hands" while you do your emergency ascent.
If you are out of air, your buddy breaths from his own air 2 and gives you his primary. Again you face each other, shake right hands and ascend properly.
pull your shoulder dump valve, or take the air 2 out of your mouth and release air with your left hand if you need to slow your ascent. Push the inflate button on the air 2 with your left hand if you need more bouyancy.
Practice with your buddy in controlled environment. The emergency isn't the first time you should try the technique which
works well, but is a little different.
JOHN R It is a little shorter than a regular octopus hose, but since it is for emergencies, you will use the regulator on the BC, and give your primary to the person having the problem. You may want to get a longer primary hose for your regulator. I like the Air 2 because it is one less thing banging around, getting caught on stuff. Hope this helped.
ROBERT B Joel,
I have been diving preety seriously for 25 years. Oddly, been using that air 2 the whole time. This is my take. Yes the how is short, but so is the flexible hose that inflates your bc. You can't reach out any farther than that anyway. That being said, after 25 years I finally pushed the limit and sucked a tank dry. My dive buddy was 10yds away and he also breathes scuba pro. I bolted to him, grabbed the air 2 and hugged like there was no tomorrow. We laughed about it later, me 225lbs him 170lbs. He said I squeezed the hell out of him!! Had the hose been a little longer. I think our ascent may have been a little easier, but it really wasn't a problem. I like to think of the air 2 more for me than my buddy anyway. If my primary fails the air 2 is always close by, not floating 3 feet away as with the long hose. The air 2 is also bulletproof. My first air 2 I bought in 1986 and it lasted until I bought the one you are looking at now. I am not the best with cleaning or maintenance either so it's a testament to the absolute durability if these products. Don't hesitate grab it, unless you dive crazy deep in holes and wrecks and your buddies tend to get stuck out at arms length. The air 2 is for you, like a reserve parachute. Plus when I am spearing it doesn't get jacked up in the line if I am shooting my big riffe and shock line seems to be everywhere after the retrieval. Take care, dive safe.
JACK A Hi Joel
The AIR2 is great. Easy to use, and not a real problem for buddy breathing.
Truth is, the need to buddy breathe is rare, as all divers have 2 regulators
This is my 2nd one I have had.
T T Yes, its shorter than a regular octopus. In an emergency, I would use the Air2 and my buddy would use my primary regulator. This is agreed upon before the dive so theres no confusion at the time.
JOSEPH S In an emergency situation you go old school (the way we were taught years ago). You breathe through the Air 2 and hand your primary to your buddy.
Shopper Will it work with Aqualung Axiom i3?
RANDAL B I bought a Scubapro Lady Hawk BCD for my daughter which only managed the BCD. I bought this "secondary air supply" to replace the BCD inflator and it works great on that BCD for this purpose.
FABIO E I would recommend the Atomic SS1.
It comes with a hose adapter.
The ss1 will save you money over time.
The service interval is 2 years.
ROBERT B I have not used it with that connection.
DAVID M I don't know, check with scuba p ro
Shopper Will this work with the Scuba Pro Glide 2000?
PAUL M Yes it will work
I have a Scubapro Glide and a Knighthawk BCD.
There are Air 2's on both of them.
DANEEN S Yes it will, it's a Scuba Pro BC and the Air II comes with a new inflator hose that is needed for flow rates while using the actual regulator. You will love it, it's really nice!
FABIO E Yea it will work with the glide 2000
HAROLD G SCUBAPRO uses a universal hose on all their BC's that is the same size. The Air 2 should be a perfect fit!
Shopper Will this work with OMS BCD's ?
TIM B Hi, the ScubaPro Air 2 is a fine choice as I have owned several over the past twenty years, and I still have them. But as for as fit and performance you might consider the Atomic SS1. The Atomic SS1 has an adapter to fit all BC hoses, being that's what you are looking for, and the performance is considerably better then the ScubaPro Air 2. I hope this helps.
Capt. Tim Bailes
Naui 9004L
MATTHEW C Not sure, I have mine installed on a zeagle bcd.. Great tool to have though, I love mine!
MARK W From the looks of it you should be able to use it on a OMS BC.
I took mine off my Scubapro and now have it on a Seaquest. I just had to put a different clamp around the inflator hose.
You could always contact OMS to see what the diameter of there hose is and then look at the diameter of the AIRII where you attach to determine how close it is.
ANTHONY L Sorry i do not know. This was bought for a Scuba Pro BCD.
RALPH S Absolutely. Just soak the end of the corrugated hose in very warm water for several minutes to ease placement onto the octo, zip tie it in place, and you're on your way.
Shopper does this Air 2 come with the inflator hose?
DANEEN S Yes it does. Love this unit and not having to have an octo and another hose.
ROBERT H Yes it came with it s own hose since it is a larger connection than the regular.
JASON K It does not come with the inflator hose.
GREGORY R Yes, when I bought mine a low pressure inflator hose was inclided
GEORGE O Mine came with a Scuba Pro hose so you will need to adapt it to your brand of BC.
HAROLD G Yes! There is a barrel connector on the hose that connects to the inflator which is included with the hose.
Shopper Will this work with a Sherwood Avid CQR2 BCD?
NORMAN S Yes it will work fine, just remove any zip ties and the pin from the old inflator and remove the assembly from the hose. Install the Air 2 making sure the pin goes thru the loop in the cable. Use zip ties to secure. Helps to use a little spit on the hose for lubrication when sliding it on.
Kris K Will this work with my Beuchat Masterlift X-Air Light 2 BCD?
STEVEN F I have no idea if will work for you but if it does you will like it, great ergonomics and stream line your gear I put it on ScubaPro Classic.
good luck
Shopper Does it work with my Scubapro Geo.BCD?
ROBERT H As far as I know the air 2 eill work and interchange on all scuba pro bcs
TIMOTHY M I am not familar with that bc but I believe that it will fit on almost any bc inflate hose. I bought two for two dirrent BC and it fit fine.
TIMOTHY H It should work with no problems at all. Even on LP, it's listed as an accessory for that BC.
Adel A Does it work with Sherwood Tortuga CQR BCD?
Chris R This is a really great regualtor, reasonably priced and should work great with any BCD.
Controls are very easy to feel in low visibility. I purchased for my son and would not buy anything cheap for him scuba wise.
RANDAL B Randy,
I bought this for my daughter's Lady Hawk Scubapro BCD and it works fine. Any time you take off a manual BCD inflator and connect this device to the primary stage via the included hose, I suspect that the performance will be acceptable.
m a Will this work with a SeaQuest Pro Q BCD? If not, what similar options do I have?
DAVID T I am using it on a scubapro clasic bc. The hose size is the same as my last air2. You would need to determine the hose size of your bc to see if it would fit. Scuba pro uses a 1" hose.
RANDAL B Randal B
I put this reg on my daughters Scubapro Lady Hawk BCD and it works fine. If you know how to remove the manual inflator for the BCD, just zip tie on the Air 2. I hope this is useful. Cheers.
TOMMY S I have used the Scubapro Air 2 on Zeagle Bcds. Both the Ranger and the Tech. It has a great fit and works great. Always at your shoulder for added security instead of chasing an octopus. It is a great breather also.
David B Will this work w/ a halcyon wing?
MOHAMED R yes is help a lot
MARK B I cannot answer the question because I have not examined a halcyon wing. I would think it would work on any BC with the scubapro air hose supply for the unit. Unless there was some large variation in the BC filler hose size. For example if the manufacturer had chosen a small hose for some reason...
Mark
JOHN T The intake/exhaust hose for the Halcyon should be compatible, as these are a standard diameter, and secured with a zip tie. The Halcyon Wing I just looked at a picture of has an inflator valve just like the one I took off my BC, so I'm sure that's right. The real issue is the power inflator hose fitting where it attaches to the Air 2. That quick-disconnect fitting is probably a different size from the one you have, so it may be necessary to buy a new power inflator pressure hose with the right connection. I do have two of these Air 2s, and they have been very reliable.
ROBERT P Not sure, never dove halcyon gear. Mine is set up with a Sherwood Avid, can tell you I have been very happy with it, if it works with your gear you will not be disappointed!
Shopper Can I put a ScubaPro Air 2 on an Oceanic Islander BCD?
LeisurePro S Sorry, unfortunately not. The Oceanic uses a 3/8" corrugated hose and the Air2 uses a 1" hose. Check out the Oceanic Air XS here.
Shopper What combo inflater will fit a cressi-sub bc?
LeisurePro S Check out SWDSPO which is universal and should fit Cressi's.
Shopper Is this made to fit a 1" diameter hose? Does this fit the Sherwood Magnum BCD?
LeisurePro S Yes, this has a 1" diameter hose. If your Sherwood is newer than 2002, this should work fine.
Shopper Will this work with the oceanic outrigger BC?
Shopper Will this fit a Scubapro Safari bcd?
LeisurePro S Yes, you shouldn't have a problem.
Shopper Will this fit the Cressi Aero pro bcd?
Shopper Will this fit a Sherwood '07 Avid CQR2 BCD?
Shopper Will this fit on my Mares Vera Frontier BCD?
LeisurePro S Sorry, no. This isn't compatible with Mares BCs.
Shopper Will this fit the TUSA plantina evolution BCD? How difficult is the installation?
LeisurePro S Installation is simple, requiring just a few simple tools. This should fit on your Tusa BC. TBTIR3, if you're interested, is the Tusa specific combo octo.
Shopper Can it be connected to a Zeagle black inflation BC? How do you connect the Air 2 to an existing BC? Does it have an installation manual?
LeisurePro S Yes, the Air 2 will fit on Zeagles. Installation is fairly easy (a few quick releases and switches) and will come with instructions.
Shopper How easy is it to install the Scubapro Air 2 on a Scubapro Pilot BCD? Also, does this Air 2 come with everything you need, including the any necessary hoses? Thanks.
LeisurePro S YES COMES WITH ALL AND IS DONE WITH BASIC TOOLS
Shopper Will this fit any scubapro bcd?
Shopper will it fit a cressi- sub line BC sku CSBL?
Shopper Does this safe second come with the LP hose, and how long is it?
