Shopper I currently have a 3mm full elastiprine in a size large. (I'm 5'10, 205lb, 40waist, 42chest). I'm considering getting one of these to use for warmer water diving & also as another layer with my current suit in the winter when water temps in Fla are in the 60s. While my current suit fits well (stretches great for my extra pooch belly) & I'm sure the large in this shorty would do the same, I'm wondering if I should get an XL so it would definitely fit over my full suit or will it be too big for use on it's own?
ROBERT W I am 5'7", 155 lbs, 40" chest and 31" waist and the Medium fit me perfectly. I guess you could draw your conclusions from that.
BENJAMIN L I am 5'9" an 135 an have a small I feel like the shorties run on the larger size go for the smaller size it will stretch just fine
RANDOLPH T Im 5' 10 200lbs bought the xl fits pretty loose but im not wearing it over the top of another suit hope this helps you
MICHAEL T I am 5'11'' tall and weigh about 165 lbs. My chest size is 42, waist 34. I bought this suit in size medium large. It fits me just right. I would order the XL since it is going over your suit. You can always return it if it does not fit for another size.
ALLAN K I'm 5-10, 195, 36 waist, 42 chest - the large suite is a great fit and is great for warm water here in N-fla. I had the same idea as you but ended up also getting a pinnacle 3mm hooded vest to go under my 3mm wetsuite for the winter 60deg water and that works great. The cooler water (I'm short on hair!) deserves a hood and separate hoods are a pain compared to a hooded vest.
Shopper do you know how much this suit weighs? An XS men's suit?

JUNE H I have an XL men's shorty. I folded it up and set it on the scale. It barely registgered. I would have to guess it weighs about 1-1/2 to 2 lbs. This is a very comfortable suit to wear. I don't even feel it while I am in the water.
ANGELO S I have a medium and don't know the weight, but it's very light and packable. I've worn it for warm water dives in Bocas del Toro, Panama. It was great for the warm water environmen there. --- CaptAng

DAVID T these have been great snorkling and diving suits in warm water. We use them for both in Cozumel. The added bouancy is nice for snorkling and a little extra warmth is always good. well worth the money.

ANGELO S I'm 5'8", 180, 32" waist. I was a college wrestler and am built like that, big upper body. I have a medium, a bit snug across the shoulders, but for the price point I don't think you can go wrong. I've used it in Bocas del Toro, Panama and offshore in Belize. It was/is just fine
MICHAEL T I am 6'0" tall and weigh about 165 lbs. My waist is size 34. I bought size ML, med large and it fits great. Since you are much taller this with your wt. more spread out, this size should fit you too. You can always return it for a bigger or smaller size.
DAVE V Being 6'7 I think you will need to check a local dive shop to see if an off the rack shorty will fit....then determine the size. Otherwise I would try the XL and figure you may have to play the return retry game. A lot will depend on the length of your torso and fit in the crotch area given you height. I think you may be into a custom fitting.

Marilyn S You will most likely need to have a custom suit or have alterations done to this one. I am at the other end of the spectrum (short and skinny) and often have my suits altered. In general as a skinny I have found Pinnacle the closest fit. I would get this one in 3XL and have it taken in as needed. If you have a short torso the large may work however and with Leisure Pro's PFF Guaranty you can try the L (appropriate for your waist) and if it does not fit return it for the 3XL (they pay return shipping) and have the 3XL (appropriate for your height) altered to fit.
KIRKE P I'm 6' 4" and weigh 225. I've got plenty if room, although with 3 more inches it could wind up being too short for you. Hard to tell wifhout tryong it on.. Ny waist is about a 36 and I ordered the largest size they made
