The new Rover 2S is an excellent choice for intensive rental use in the Diving Centers and for all divers who want reliability! The new R2S first stage is the evolution of the piston regulator. The first stage is made of marine grade brass with a sandblasted finish for increase scratch resistance. The protection cover of the first stage is designed to allow the installation of an optional RFID chip for rental use managed by dedicated PC software.

The lightweight compact and sturdy non-balanced first stage Flow-By Piston design with its Dynamic Flow Control (DFC) system minimizes the intermediate pressure drop during inhalation, making it possible to use a simpler and more reliable second stage regulator further increasing reliability. The DFC does not require any type of manual adjustment for the second stage due to the consistency of the stable air flow, even under extreme conditions. The first stage has a 7/16" UNF High Pressure Port and 4 Low Pressure Ports with 3/8" UNF Threads.

The Mid-Sized Techno-Polymer second stage regulator with its simple, yet reliable Downstream Demand Valve design has a Fluid Dynamic Deflector. This innovative deflector, developed after in-depth studies and tests of fluid dynamics, is engineered to receive and properly direct the airflow from the bypass tube to the mouthpiece. Combined with the Vortex Assisted Design (VAD) system that creates a swirling vortex with a low pressure area in the center of the regulator that keeps the diagram down during inhalation, for very sensitive and easy breathing at all depths.

Mares patented Mesh Grid design of the second stage cover reduces the pressure of water flowing onto the second stage diaphragm and minimizes free-flow. Even in strong currents it eliminates the need for a knob to de-tune (make it harder to breathe) your air delivery system to stop the un-wanted free-flow: advanced technology through basic physics. This simple and reliable design makes for easy and reduced maintenance. First stage has one high pressure port and four low pressure ports. Rover 2S has a 3/8" threaded 31.5" (80 cm) hose, weighs 34.82 oz (987 g), comes with a Owner's Manual and is covered by a limited lifetime warranty.

Genesis Compact Console is just that low profiled and ergonomically designed to fit in the hand comfortably, and is easy to read at a glance with its outstanding graphics. The Compact Console has an air filled depth gauge with a 0' to 200' readout and maximum depth indicator. The colored graphics allow quick glance monitoring with bright red depth indicators at strategic positions on the gauge face. The red indicators are at 0', 10' and then from depths beyond the standard sport limits of 130' to 200'. The depth range between 35' and 120' are in blue and bright orange markers indicate the deco-stop depths between 20' and 30'. Gauge face is luminescent for low light situations.

Pressure Gauge reads pressure up to 5000 psi and features a thermometer for temperature readings. As like the depth gauge, the SPG has high visibility graphics with bright red from 0 to 500 psi reserve air orange indicators between 500 to 1,000 psi for extended reserve air for deeper dives and blue between 1,500 to 5,000 psi and the gauge face is also luminescent.

Both gauges are small 1.75" diameter and protected by a sleek impact resistant rubber boot that has dual rubber eyelets for attachment of a lanyard or clip keeping the diver streamline and reef and environment conscious. Console also has a small slate located on the back side that can be removed to incorporate the compass option (see SKU: SWDCM6). Console is covered by a 24 month limited warranty.

The Mares Rover PRO BCD is a rugged and "off road" Jacket Style BCD. Manufactured from UV Protected 1000 Cordura with an Internal Urethane Laminate this Strong and Hardy BCD is not subject to color fading, has Torso Adjustable Shoulder Straps, Adjustable Waist Strap and Cummerbund with Squeeze" Style Quick Release Buckles for a Custom Fit. Custom shaped Pockets keep the Octopus and Instruments close at hand.

Buoyancy control is established with the Ergo Inflator with 3/8" Threaded LP Hose, rear quick-dump/over-pressure relief valve and shoulder pull dump. The Ergo is the standard inflation/deflation control unit on Mares BCD's, the Ergo inflator has been designed according to ergonomic guidelines. Intuitive to use and offers maximum grip. With Adjustable Chest Strap, Plastic D-Rings for Accessory attachment and 53.8 lbs (24.4 kg) of Lift, the Rover PRO BCD is a great choice for Buoyancy Control.
