Questions about this item:
Youngju L can i change gauge to metric?
Frank L Yes, you can but you would have to call our sales team to complete the order.
PABLO G No you can`t...But you get used and the color codes are very user friendly. Maybe you can try to specify when ordering...
Shopper Do you know the weight of this unit including gauges and regs?
EDWARD M The BC itself weighs 6.8 lbs.
Since different gauges and regs don't weigh the same, you'd have to weigh those separately.
GREGORY B BC without nylon case is six pounds, regulator and other hose-based implements are four pounds. I had to send the regulator back for a persistent leak out of both mouthpieces. Haven't tested out the fix yet.
Greg
ARIAL B I have this in a size x-small and the BCD plus all the regs and gauges is just under 9.5lbs. Of course the larger the size, the heavier the BCD will be. I believe if you look on the product page for the BCB if gives the weight (with packaging) so that might help as well. Hope this helps.
Shopper the regulator have din or int connection?
RANDY G This particular regulator does not have a DIN connection, it is a yoke connection. It may also be available with a DIN connection, but I am not sure.
PETER B Cressi regulators' first stage are shipped in the US with a yoke regulator, which I presume you call int (international). Indeed you are always better off with a yoke regulator first stage, rather then a DIN version, which is only used by European dive operations. I have yet to find a dive location in the world (and I have been blessed with the finest) where you cannot use the yoke regulator first stage, you called int.
marjorie d is the reg/octo ok to use with enriched air? Doe s the manufacturer say you can/can't?
GREGORY B Marjorie, I am in the process of returning the reg/octo to Leisurepro. The reg had a slow constant leak (more than a trickle, less than free flow, from both mouthpieces, AND I got completely stoned off of residual solvents in the hoses or something. We determined that it was not the tank(s), and it was not me. So I only used this once, and my dive guide used it once (and got stoned). The materials and manuals are already all boxed up for shipping. I THINK they are fine with enriched air, but I cant swear to it. But whatever you do, flush a couple tanks of air through the rig before you use it.
Greg
ROBERT S Both are fine fo use with enriched air. Dove air and nitrox in Roatan in February and worked great.
marjorie d Damon did you go to Vandenberg by chance?
DAMON K marjorie, i dont have the answer to that,i would find out from cressi,or your dive servicer.i use just the air suppllied from the shops.enjoy theyre a nice reg. and octo.dk ALOHA
Shopper I'm trying to decide what to get. Why did you pick this one?
PHILLIP L C I picked this BC because of the compact size, light weight and features. So far I have been pretty happy with it and have only had one problem when I pulled the dump valve cord a little too aggressively. Other than that I have been very happy. It is quite compact and light weight. Its ideal for the diver who likes to take short trips where you are trying to travel light. Some have questioned the amount of lift for the after dive floating period while waiting for pick-up. it is a little on the light side in this regard - but I have not found this to be a problem. Since it is a back inflation it is quite nice in terms of trim in the water and I am happy to trade the on-service performance for the improved trim in the water (after all that is where I prefer to spend my time :-) Overall I give it 4.5/5 stars.
JAVIER S I got parts of this package, not the whole thing, because I wanted to build my own set. I got the travel bcd, which I promptly returned. It felt flimsy and of low quality. The releasable weight pouches were unbelievably hard to remove. I also got the regulator, which I decided to keep. It sometimes free flows when in the water, but that's not a big deal. Air supply is plentiful. My only gripe: the hose is kind of short and can hinder your movement. If i turn my head to the left too far the regulator pulls me back or comes off. My friend has the octo, which I suppose works well. We've never had to use it. I ended up getting an aqualung bcd with integrated secondary and a aries computer for psi and depth. Hope this helps.
MIKE C I thought the price was great, and I like how it is lightweight and compact. Unfortunately, have not had much chance to use it so far but I did like the overall fit and finish and feel the one time I did get to use it.
ROBERT A I bought the BC - mainly because of it's light weight and the fact that its a wing type of BCD as opposed to jacket style.
DERREK D It was a good price, lightweight, functional and simple.
CLARISSA H I did not buy the entire package, but I did get the Cressi Air Travel BCD. I wanted a Travel BCD that I could easily carry in a carry on as my husband and I travel often and the cost of extra/heavy luggage keeps rising. The Scuba Gear Reports Travel BCs article helped me choose this BCD. (I can't copy the link here bc of LP rules).
So far, I love my BCD. It is very comfortable, has many D rings, and looks great! I recommend it!
james w The extra pocket it has, where is it at on the bc, how easy is it to get in, and how big is it?
DERREK D Oh, the size is like 5 or 6 inches square, about.
DERREK D The pocket is rolled up and velcro'd on the waist strap. So it's basically not there if you're not using it. It's pretty easy to access in the water, even if you went in with it stored. You just pop the Velcro and unroll it, and you have access under your waist clups
4/18/2013 5.0Excellent package and perfect for travel - Easy To Use
- Functional
- Improves Diving Experience
