Questions about this item:
Shopper Why Did You Choose This?
PAUL B sorry i did. ended up getting the e z springs and love them.
RAYMOND S made specifically for OMS fins. the one I bought is a bit tight-fit, with my rock boots. if you plan to use primally with large boots like rock boots, buy one size bigger than you think you need.
Shopper Hello I am interested in these heel straps from OMS. What size do I need? I am around 11 1/2 to 12 size shoe. I will be using them on a set of Scuba Pro Jet Fin, size XXL. Also, can I use them with these fins? Thanks, tom.
JERALD T I would probably select the XXL. However it will depend on the type of boot you wear. If you wear a Rock Book and and drysuit XXL. If you are in a wetsuit, then maybe the XL would work better.
Hope this helps.
LAWRENCE D I am a 11 and I purchased the Large size spring straps..
with use on OMS Sliptream fins...
I do not know if they can be used with Scuba Pro Jet Fins.
Shopper I own a pair of these in size XL, and wear XL Scubapro delta boots, my feet are size 11, what size OMS spring straps should I buy? Large? Thanks
MIKE F I am one size smaller, but bought the 2 sets of Large size and are very happy with the tension and fit.
PAUL B XL at least, you don't want them to tight, you will have trouble getting them off getting out of the water.
MELISSA P I do not know. I bought these for my Drysuit fins so i needed them larger to fit the boots. However, i would think large would be fine considering the ones i bought fur my drysuit were xl and i wear size 12.
ROBERT E I have a pair in Large and they work perfect with my 5mil Henderson hard sole boots. I'm not familiar with the soles on your boots but if they are hard soles, Large spring straps should be what you need. BTW, these are great straps.
JONATHON B OOPS! I misspoke. Get the X-large -- the straps should match the fin size! Ignore my previous reply!
JONATHON B Yes, large. That's similar to the configuration I have.
Shopper It comes in a pair or just one strap?
R S I recommend buying these somewhere else, if you buy them from Leisure Pro then they will send you emails asking you to answer questions from other customers rather than doing it themselves.
STEVEN R The set is a pair of steel spring straps.
GAYLE H came as a pair when i bought mine
DOUGLAS F It comes as a pair (two straps).
PATRICK P it comes in a set didnt like them went back to the origanal straps on one set have them on the ones i cave dive with only because they wont catch the line and tangle.
KEVIN S They come as a pair. One for each fin.
MICHAEL M I heard a size 8-9 boot. (Size 8 for wetsuit/9 for drysuit boots) Will Large spring straps work?
JOSEPH G I wear size 10 wetsuit boots with large springs for x-large jetfins. Works fine... love 'em. So, large springs on size 8 boots would seem too be too large.
MIGUEL H Best is to buy the fins first and use them with the rubber straps. Measure the length of the straps when adjusted, then order the springs.
JAMES G I'm not familiar with dry suit boot sizing, but for regular dive boots the large springs would be too much. I wear a 10-11 dive boot, and I use large springs.
Katie S I wear a women's size 6 shoe and have size large fins. What size spring streaps would you reccommend?
ALLAN S Spring straps should be ordered one size smaller than the fin size.
CLARK O I would get the medium straps for those fins so there will be a little tension on them when your foot is in the fin.
Jeff H Do these straps have any sort of "pull tab" to make donning and doffing easier?
KENNETH P The rubber part has a ridge which makes the spring easy to grip. They are very easy to get on and off. BTW...I love these fins, epecially as compared to the heavier Jets.
JOHN G No. I just roll the ankle holder over my booties.
DONALD D It does not have a true "pull tab". There is a large rubber tube that covers the spring which I found easy to grab.
I personally bought large fins with the large size spring straps. They are very easy to put on and take off your feet. I do not miss the pull tab at all.
PAUL T fins are hard to take off with our right kind of shoes dry suit rock boots were held on sotightly I needed help to remove them. using on a boat with our proper foot wear would make exiting water very difficult
JEREMIAH S No tab, but as long as you aren't wearing heavy gloves it should not be an issue. In my experience the tabs don't last as long as the straps which is why I chose the OMS spring straps.
JOSEPH G They don't have a pull tab, but you can grip top and bottom of heel pad with 2 fingers easily even wiyth gloves. I use them on x-large jetfins. At first they seemed somewhat bulky. After using them they work great...snug and not too tight.
PAUL W No - although the rubber pc is large enough to grad with dry gloves
SHANE A There is no pull tab, but the fins tend to go on pretty easily. I've used them with my wetsuit booties and my drysuit.
TODD F No, other than the rubber strap grip in the rear. The rubber grip is large enough to grab for the donning and doffing of fins. However, it does take a little effort. Springs are stiff.
SEIYA F No, but it's easy to grab the rubber tube.
Shopper why would someone have an XL fin and L strap? shouldn't it be XL and XL?
LeisurePro S You can use your fin size as a rule of thumb and just go with the strap that matches your fin size or you can measure around the back of your heel from post to post. Subract one to two inches from that measurement and order the size that fits that new number. The size in inches are: Medium - 9.5", Large - 10", Extra Large - 10.5"
Shopper What is the proper way to measure the spring size needed ?
LeisurePro S They correlate to fin sizes.
Shopper what are the lengths for the different sizes Thanks
LeisurePro S Medium - 9.5", Large - 10", Extra Large - 10.5"
Shopper what is the length for the extralarge oms springstraps, thanks
