Shopper What's the main difference between a point tip versus a tanto tip?
LeisurePro S A point tip is when the balde comes evenly up on both sides and creates a regular point. A tanto tip has one side cut off at a 45 degree angle that makes the knife a little better for things like slicing or prying by giving you a little more edge.
Shopper Is there any advantage in having a point tip versus a blunt tip
LeisurePro S Both are fine, it depends on what your main usage it going to be. Blunt tips are good for prying (repairs/recovery) and point tips are good for stabbing (underwater hunting). If you are just looking for a knife to cut things (ropes, etc) either will work.
Shopper Hi, I have an Ocean Master Beta Titanium Knife, point tip which I lost the sheath and straps for. I am looking for a replacement sheath and strap. I don't see the sheath (quick release type?) as an accessory.
