LAURA P The blades on these fins are semi-soft and approximately 15-17" long.
The foot pocket is comfortable and low impact resistance on the fins, so no pressure on ankles, knees or hips.

Nicole S From heel to tip 25 3/4 inches long. We bought 4 pair for our family to go scuba diving in Bonaire and loved them. My husband recommends wearing the sock but by the end of the week I would go without it and had no issues.

SHERMAN C Depends on your shoe size, smaller sizes have a 15 inch blade after foot pocket and increases with size to larger sizes at 17.5 inch after foot pocket.
Very nice fins, I use them for Scuba diving, free diving and snorkeling.

Linda F CAN YOU GET THE OCEANIC CARIBE FOOT FIN.?..i lost one in the surf about 8 years ago and have not been able to find a replacement pair...they are super light weight ..grey in color and the fin in not super long...i am a long distance swimmer and just need a smaller fin...I am a female with size 7 1/2 to 8 shoe...the Oceanic Viper full foot fin has a similiar design...how many inches long is it?...that would help me decide

I just bought these fins. I haven't had a chance to use them yet. They're 23 inches long. I got a size 3 1/2-4 1/2 and wear a size 7 shoe usually. The fins are slightly big for me without a bootie and seem perfect with very thin bootie, but then again, I haven't tried swimming with them yet. I hope this is helpful.

STEPHANIE C From heel to tip of the fin is about 22 2/2- 23inches (the US fin size 6-7 ). I'm a size 9 in shoes but bought the 6-7 size in the fin. It fits just right (almost feels too tight) when its on except when I'm pushing off the wall. They have slipped off once or twice but very seldom does. Love these fins.

JAMES W Linda, I purchased these for long distance swimming also, but the fin bout 14" long, I have a men's size 10. My son is in the Marine Corp, on a dive team, he recommended these because of the amount of water you can displace. you really can get some distance with every kick, but they are very long. hope this helps in your decision

My wife and I purchased the Oceanic Vipers last year, my wife wears a size 81/2. The length of her fins are 22 inches, we use these fins for pools and snorkeling we feel they were a good purchase. We use a fin with a stiffer blade for Scuba diving.

MARY K This fin would be too long for swimming. (all four of my sons are swimmers, one who has an NRT time as well as All American) You could try cutting them shorter but I think they would be too wide. Hamachi's Mom

MEI-SHAN W It can work with bare feet.
JAMES W it will work if you like bare feet. I used to use my fins bare footed, I started getting blisters, so I purchased the socks/boot and have eliminated that problem.
SANDRA S I personally thinks its up to you; you can use both however what I like to do is instead of wearing a full boot I like to wear neoprene socks in the fins. I feel that is the best confort level because it allows you foot to feel nice and snug in the fin.

JAMES C Bare feet are fine, especially in warm water. We used them entering the water from both a boat and the beach and in each case they worked great. When entering from the beach you do get some sand initially, but kick your feet and the sand is gone.
SHERMAN C No need for boots with these fins, they are very comfortable with bare feet and great fins as well. My wife and I wear them all the time and really love them.
TONY T These are designed for bare feet. I doubt they would work with boots.
RODNEY T Yes it is designed to be worn with just your bare feet. It is important to get a good fit with these types of flippers since they aren't adjustable. The adjustable strap on flippers are the kind you need boots for.
DAVID B Just got back from a week snorkeling in Roatan, used them bear footed everyday. Worked great, wonderful fins.
LISA K The fins are comfortable enough to be worn with bare feet. But you can wear thme with boots. It all depends on the fit & how it feels on your feet.

SHERMAN C it depends on your foot size, a 9-10 foot size is 21.5 inches long overall, and 8 inches wide. Don't be fooled by size, bigger doesn't always mean better, in many cases the larger size fins are making up for poor design and efficiency. I am an Instructor who tried many fins, some very expensive, These are my favorite fins.
