Shopper I am looking for a travel fin for scuba, not snorkeling. I typically do warm water, cozumel with some current for example. Are this fins adequate for scuba or just snorkeling? Thanks.
DAVID J I bought them for scuba diving, and when they arrived found them to be so floppy, that I had my girlfriend use them for snorkeling.
For diving, I ended up purchasing the Mares Volo full foot fins.. Which pack rather well, and are stiff enough to be used in Cozumel's currents, but still fit like a very comfy glove..
JOE F We bought these for SCUBA diving and they were good for travel and worked great for the way we fin. Good for snorlkeling, too.
JOHN M W I find them to be superb for Scuba. In fact, they'd be a bit much for a snorkeler of less than average skills. With these fins, you have a lot of power and very little fatigue in exchange. I swim 7-10 miles a week in these, and they are my favories over a 45 year period of swimming and diving with fins. The only thing I came close to being as enthralled with was a pair of tremendously long Cressi Rondo fins, and they were really too clumsy around coral.
DANA B I've used these fins for diving and snorkeling since 2007 and I love them. they are lightweight but have enough kick to power a current, and they have held up for many years of use.
SHANNON M I bought these fins specifically for a 3-week dive trip to Indonesia. They are perfect for diving OR snorkeling. I did wear a pair of Lycra socks with them for two reasons: 1. My feet tend to get cold and 2. I have small feet, I wear a size 6.5-7 and bought size 6-7 fins, they were just a hair big for me. I was very happy with with the way these fins fit and perform...best of all no cramps in my toes! Hooe this information helps with your decision.

Shopper Do you need dive slippers with these fins? I prefer to wear dive slippers/boots because of rocks and other things when the fins come off. If I wear a size 7 women's shoe, I'll buy size 7 slippers/boots, what size fins should I get to accommodate slippers/boots?
JOHN M W My foot is quite wide at the ball area. There is no way I could fit a bootie in the foot pocket along with the necrssay anatomy. However, its no big deal on a boat dive, only when shore diving.
JOE F We bought a size 6-7 pair of fins for ladies size 7 feet and comfortably wore booties that were thin (Lycra socks). Probably could not wear 2-3 mm booties with thick soles.
HARRY C The fins were very light and easy to use but I did not use dive slippers with them and that was a mistake as I developed blisters on the back of my heel. So, I would buy at least a size bigger than needed in order to accomodate the slipper or boots. It will really depend on the thickness of the slipper or dive boot. These fins are not adjustable.

CHERYL W I returned these fins because I was unable to get a good fit. I ordered two different sizes and they were either too big or too small for my feet. (I normally wear a women's size 7 shoe.) I ordered sizes x-small and small and finally gave up and returned both pairs. I would not wear a bootie with these style fins. They are designed to be worn without booties for warm water diving.
SHIRLEY J These fins are designed to be worn barefoot, which is how I use them.
These fit snugly enough that I have no problem with them slipping off.
You might be happier with scuba fins that are designed to be worn with boots. They have a strap in back that is easily adjusted to fit your boot.

WILL S I would buy the size 9-10 or "regular" size fins if you wear a 10.5 sneaker, maybe even a size smaller than that. I wear a size 14 sneaker and the 11-12 size fin fits great in the Oceanic V-6. Definitely order at least one size down from your shoe size.

JOHN M W since there are no half sizes, go up one. You can always wear a sock if the git feels sloppy, but they don't stretch very well. You'll love the power.

ROBERT G I where a size 12 and they fit accordingly. The fins fit snugly at first but now they are perfect.
WANDA W I have the size 6-7 and I wear a size 6.5 to 7 shoe and they work just great. My foot is average on width. Might add I have 2 pair of these fins and love them.

JOHN R The best I can offer is that you want a snug, but not tight fit, I'm thinking the womens small would do. Mine fit true to size. Hope this helps.

Shopper I recently ordered a pair of the vortex full foot split fins that are too large (I ordered 7-8). After looking at my previous pair of fins I noticed the size was a 4-5, however, my toes go over the edge of foot bed - are they supposed to go over or just to the end of the footbed? I'm wondering if I should order a size 6-7 instead of a 4-5. I would appreciate any insight you might have. Thank you.
LeisurePro S It is okay if you can see your toes at the edge of the poot bed, but they really shouldn't be sticking out of the front of the pocket by any great amount. And of course with fins, comfort is paramount, so you should get a pair that is tight so it will stay on your foot, but that you can get your whole foot and heel into comfortably without your toes being squished.
Shopper I wear a 5.5 women's shoe. Do you think the 4-5 fin would work for me?
LeisurePro S You are right at the edge. The rule of thumb is to round up for half sizes and then subtract two for the men's to women's conversion. I would try them out; I think they will probably work for you.
